MD is the postgraduate degree for General Medicine while MS is the post graduate degree for General Surgery.MD in commonly non-surgical but still there are some branches where surgery can be a part of MD whereas MS is mostly surgical which also has medicinal knowledge.
The prospects of MD and MS are commonly the same .A person who complete MD becomes a physician whereas the one who complete MS becomes a surgeon. Soit’sno doubt one’s own choice whether you pursue an MD or an MS.
⮞ Diplomate of National Board is awarded by the NBE i.e. National Board of Examination, an autonomous academic body. The DNB qualification awarded by the NBE have been at par and equated with post graduate and post-doctoral degrees awarded by the Indian Universities for all purpose i.e. including appointments for teaching post.
⮞ The positive part about DNB is the somehow it is easier to get in to.The major advantage is exposure to latest equipments, excellent patients flow and practice in best hospitals. At the same time the negatives are that clearing the final exam is generally tougher.
⮞ DNB is at par with MD/MS but due to misleading perceptions among general public career growth might be slower
